Ignatius Lynam has worked in the Human Resources Management and Consultancy fields for more than thirty years. Ignatius has extensive experience of working with people in a variety of situations including outplacement services to assist people in coping with, adjusting to and effectively managing their unemployment experience.

In 1992, Ignatius and his wife Laura established LMCS Management Consultants providing a range of human resources consulting, management training, accredited counselling and executive recruitment services including outplacement and support services for people facing unemployment or who have recently become unemployed.

What to Do if You Lose Your Job is based on a combination of the experience and learning afforded by our work together with professional competencies. The experience of walking with people as they journey from the security of employment and onto new opportunities has significantly influenced the content and tone of this book and has resulted in the creation of models of support to assist people adjust, cope, manage and stabilise their lives and that of their families and as a result enable and empower themselves to explore, identify, pursue and secure new opportunities and new securities.
