This year’s Women’s Prize for Fiction was, I hope, a hotly contested one. Full of fantastic works, it featured 2 of Hilary’s top books for 2020 – Hamnet and Girl, Woman, Other
It was with delight we heard that the winner of this year’s prize was Maggie O’Farrell for Hamnet. Inspired by the story of a famous playwright, this novel is raw, atmospheric and has been top of Hilary’s recommended reads since she read it during lockdown. A definite add to the reading pile.
